Commander of the Army of God - قائد الجيش الله

Brothers,

One lady asked:

"Maybe, this is a foolish question..

but I don't understand why throughout the Old Testament, especially Book of Joshua, where God gave orders to kill entire villages of people including children.

Was this because they had mated with the fallen angels and had become a hybrid breed (like in Genesis-before the flood) or was it because there was no sacrifice for their sinful ways, or was it because they were of the seed of Cain and were just plain evil and had to be eliminated?"

But what is the Book of Joshua mentioned by this lady?

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Old Testament. Do you remember that the Old Testament is a part of the Bible and it consists of many books? So, the Book of Joshua is one of the Holy Scriptures. What is it about? Its 24 chapters tell of the entry into Canaan/the Promised Land/Israel. It happened after Jews were freed by God from their slavery in Egypt and after 40 years of their dwelling in the desert. God could lead Jews to the Promised Land immediately after their exodus from Egypt. But why He didn’t do it? Why people suffered for 40 years in the desert? Did they walk so long in desert because they were led by a bad navigator system or a bad leader Moses? No. God had a purpose. What was God’s purpose? The Jewish people were not alone in the desert. God was with them. He gave them food daily (manna) and even meat. He provided water too. Moses was a Jew adopted by the Egyptian royal family. He was not a fool and not illiterate. Moses protected a Jew when he saw that this Jew was fighting with an Egyptian man. And after killing an Egyptian slave-master, Moses flees across the Red Sea to Midian where he has his encounter with the God of Israel in the form of the "burning bush". Moses heard the voice of God from the burning bush. God’s presence was there. This God sent Moses to request the release of the Israelites from their slavery in Egypt because God heard their supplication and knew their sufferings there. They had no proper food, only sufferings, beatings and hard work. God gave to Jews in the desert: FREEDOM, MONEY, GOLD and SILVER of Egyptians, FOOD, WATER and His presence. What do people need yet? It was a paradise on earth in the desert, because God was with them! They had nothing and they possessed everything. Food was only in the morning.  This food was manna. It was said to be sweet to the taste, like honey. Manna is described as being available six mornings a week, after the dew had evaporated. It is described as arriving with the dew during the night. Manna was comparable to hoarfrost in size, similarly had to be collected before it was melted by the heat of the sun, and was white like coriander seed in color. The Bible describes it as having the appearance of bdellium, adding that the Israelites ground it and pounded it into cakes, which were then baked, resulting in something that tasted like cakes baked with oil. The Israelites were instructed by God to eat only the manna they had gathered for each day. Leftovers or manna stored up for the following day "bred worms and stank".

So, God provided them with food -manna. Why, though, did Israelites describe themselves as “starving” when they had flocks and herds of animals too? Whatever the reason, the point is that it wasn't meat that the Israelites lacked. It was faith!!!! Some of Jews wanted to go back to Egypt to their slavery where they were "fed" (Numbers 11:4-6). They didn’t want God’s bread-manna! Even though they were slaves in Egypt, they wanted to go back so they would not have to worry about where their next meal would come from. Nothing would please or satisfy the grumbling Israelites, not meat for a whole month, not all the flocks and herds, or all the fish in the sea. Because if people do not have FAITH in God, they do NOT trust God and they do not want to live with God! That’s why they planned their return to Egypt! We are not to worry about food because God knows what we need before we ask. Rather, we are to seek God and His Kingdom, putting Him first and trusting in His faithfulness to provide what we need. This was the will of God for Israelites. He wanted to purify them and build them up in FAITH. He wanted to make them holy and separated from other gods and idols. He made a HOLY nation for Himself. Those, who wanted to get back to slavery, were killed by Moses. It was a symbol that if you will not be with God, you will likewise perish. Because punishment for sin and slavery of sin is DEATH.

So, manna ceased to appear once Jews had reached the Promised Land, and once they had reached the borders of Canaan (inhabited by the Canaanites). God did not allow Moses to conquer the Promised Land because of his sin. The promised Land is a symbol of the Kingdom of Heaven. ONLY the holy people, prepared by God and purified of their sins, will enter there. So, now God commands Jews to attack the Canaan/the Promised Land and get this land as an everlasting possession. Jews should conquer the inhabitants, and occupy the territory. Note, that Jews did it not because it was their desire to get the loot. But it was the COMMAND of the Commander of the God’s Army. Who is He? He is God Himself.

Joshua 1:1-9

God’s Commission to Joshua

   After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, it came to pass that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying:

   “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.  From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.  Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.  Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

  So, God chose the Commander of Jewish Army. Moses did not enter this Land because of his sin and he died dreaming about it. It was their conquest of Canaan under their leader Joshua. The history is captured and recorded on the pages of this Holy Scripture/the Book of Joshua. Why was this Book holy? Because there are recorded the word of God. God commanded Jews to obey Him. God gave to ex-Egyptian slaves not only food and water in the desert, but houses and land. Why? The Creator of the universe gave to His sons what belongs to Him! He gave them a part of His planet/land. He gave them houses. But to get them they needed to kill those nations who were living there. Why did God gave food and houses to Jews if the cost is BLOODSHED?

Because of Abraham and the Patriarchs God had chosen only Israel to be his Sacred/holy nation. God said many times in the Old Testament if you live with and intermarry with people who worship other gods/idols and satan/jinns/demons you will surely fall away and this is exactly what happened.

However in God's New Covenant with all nations we are commanded to always love our enemies and always offer up the other cheek. The only weapon we may use is the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Jesus has commanded us to love others just as He loved us.

 Jesus commands,

"But I tell you who hear Me: Love your enemies,

do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you,

 pray for those who mistreat you.

 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also,

If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic.

Give to everyone who asks you,

and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.!!"

 Luke 6:27-30

"For though we live in the world,

we do not wage war as the world does.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God

 for pulling down strongholds,

 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

God said that punishment for sin is DEATH that's why His judgment came to these evil nations lived there in the Canaan...they were killed. And the holy nation/Israel was separated from their idols and false gods.

The same thing will happen soon on earth.

God's wrath will destroy Muslim armies which will attack Jerusalem during the Third World War and  Jesus will descend with mighty angels to defend Jews. These nations will be destroyed. Why? It is what we call God's judgment against their sins.

 Again Israel will be FREE and God will dwell among them as always.

Who is He? God Jesus.

Then Ibn Allah will judge all people.

Unbelievers will be thrown to the lake of fire.

They will die the same way like Jews who wanted to return to their slavery in Egypt.

Why people will be thrown to the lake of fire? It will be the second death for them!

Because it is God's judgment.

It is what we call ‘God's judgment’.

God's nature is JUSTICE- it means He is judging us because He is HOLY. It is not sin of God to judge people and punish them. God is not a sinner! Sin is a thing which is contrary to His HOLY nature!

It is His nature: LOVE and JUSTICE which is evident in RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION/WRATH against crimes/sins/sexual immorality/rapists/killers......

I am able to draw a picture and break it, if it is NOT what I want to see.

I AM AN ARTIST.

This picture belongs to me.

It is my property.

But if a thief will come into my house to take my pictures from me. Then he will be judged for any harm caused to me or my property/my pictures/drawings.

I cannot be judged for breaking my own picture.

Because it happens according to the HIGHEST LAWS.

According to the same laws, all people who come to steal my property will be punished.

That’s why God’s judgment poured down to Egyptian pharaoh his child and Egyptian children.

God killed them.

Better to say: God’s executioner/an angel of destruction killed Egyptians.

God’s judgment will be poured to the Muslim nations again:

Zechariah 14:1-2, 3-4,12

The Day of the LORD

Behold, the day of the LORD is coming,
      And your spoil will be divided in your midst.
      For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;
      The city shall be taken,
      The houses rifled,
      And the women ravished.
      Half of the city shall go into captivity,
      But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Then the LORD will go forth
      And fight against those nations,
      As He fights in the day of battle.
        And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
      Which faces Jerusalem on the east.

  And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:

      Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet,
      Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets,
      And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.

BE ON THE LORD'S SIDE WHEN HIS SON COMES!

BUT before this fight against Israel each one of us, individually and as families, should be on the LORD's side when He comes.

We know that ALL of our nations will be shamed, humiliated and be defeated by the might and power of the LORD. So to be wise, we will want the LORD to know that we are on His side, no matter what our background or our nationality. If religion is against us, we should abandon this religion. We should FOLLOW and OBEY only God!

God commands to obey Him!

God is the One who will be calling all of our nations together to fight against Jerusalem.

 God will be calling Muslim nations to be defeated!

He is calling all His enemies to come to His Judgment.

Come and try to escape His Judgment!

We-believers in God Jesus- will escape God’s judgment because His Son was judged instead of us. Ibn Allah took the sin of the world, that’s why through FAITH in Ibn Allah, repentance of all our sins, we are FREE of our sins.

God gave us assurance that we will survive during the Judgment Day.

Because the Judge/Jesus will be on our side.

If God is with us, ARE YOU FOR US OR AGAINST US?

There is a very interesting event which occurred when the Israelites were near the city of Jericho during their conquest of Canaan. Some days before, God had stopped the waters of the Jordan river so that the people of Israel had walked on the dry riverbed from the east bank to the west bank.  This event was almost the same what we saw then Jews went from their slavery in Egypt. Water of the sea was also stopped. And Jews passed the river like through the tunnel.

Some man, with his sword drawn to the Commander of Jewish Army Joshua, would either be for the people of Jericho or for Israel.

We read  about this event in the book of Joshua 5:13,

 "Now it came about when Joshua was by Jericho,

 that he lifted up his eyes and looked,

 and saw a man was standing opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand.

And Joshua went to him and said to him,

 'Are you for us or for our adversaries?'"
 

BUT, let's read what this man answered, Joshua 5:14-15,

So He said,

 “No,

 but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come.”
And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him,

 “What does my Lord say to His servant?”
Then the Commander of the LORD’s army said to Joshua,

“Take your sandal off your foot, for the place where you stand is holy.”

 And Joshua did so.

Who is this COMMANDER OF THE LORD'S ARMY?

Ibn Allah.

He is GOD.

Joshua worships Him, he acknowledges Him to be God: and in that He calls Himself the Lord's Commander He declares Himself to be Christ.

Now this person is not a created angel, but the son of God, who went along with the Israelites in this expedition, as their chief and Commander.

A created angel could not accept worship of people!!!! According to Rev 22:8,9.

Because the place was made holy by His presence, which was ONLY God's prerogative, we can say that this Man was the Son of God, the eternal Word. Christ had His sword to justify the war Joshua was engaging in, and to show him that it was of God, who gave him commission to kill and slay. Because this war was God’s judgment to the evil people against their sins and false gods they worshipped.

The Commander of the LORD's Army  said that  the land  is HOLY.

But why the land is HOLY?

Because the HOLY God was there.

The land was not "holy" because of the presence of the people of Canaan, nor because of the presence of the sons of Israel. It was holy only because of the immediate presence of the Commander of the Army of the LORD! The holiness of God is greater than all of our immediate concerns about land, houses, and rights or wrongs. Joshua bowed down and then was instructed to take off his sandals.

God said about this Commander/Ibn Allah:

  Isaiah 55

An Invitation to Abundant Life

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
      Come to the waters;
      And you who have no money,
      Come, buy and eat.
      Yes, come, buy wine and milk
      Without money and without price.
 Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
      And your wages for what does not satisfy?
      Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
      And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
       Incline your ear, and come to Me.
      Hear, and your soul shall live;
      And I will make an everlasting covenant with you--
      The sure mercies of David.
        Indeed I have given him  (Ibn Allah) as a witness to the people,
      A leader and commander for the people.
        Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,
      And nations who do not know you shall run to you,
      Because of the LORD your God,
      And the Holy One of Israel;
      For He has glorified you.”
        Seek the LORD while He may be found,
      Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way,
      And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
      Let him return to the LORD,
      And He will have mercy on him;
      And to our God,
      For He will abundantly pardon.
“ For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
      Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD.
      “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
      So are My ways higher than your ways,
      And My thoughts than your thoughts.
      “ For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
      And do not return there,
      But water the earth,
      And make it bring forth and bud,
      That it may give seed to the sower
      And bread to the eater,
      So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
      It shall not return to Me void,
      But it shall accomplish what I please,
      And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
      “ For you shall go out with joy,
      And be led out with peace;
      The mountains and the hills
      Shall break forth into singing before you,
      And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
      Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree,
      And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree;
      And it shall be to the LORD for a name,
      For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

ﺃﺷﻌﻴﺎء 55
 1 تَعَالَوْا أَيُّهَا الْعِطَاشُ جَمِيعاً إِلَى الْمِيَاهِ، وَهَلُمُّوا أَيُّهَا الْمُعْدِمُونَ مِنَ الْفِضَّةِ، ابْتَاعُوا وَكُلُوا، ابْتَاعُوا خَمْراً وَلَبَناً مَجَّاناً مِنْ غَيْرِ فِضَّةٍ.

 2 لِمَاذَا تُنْفِقُونَ الْفِضَّةَ عَلَى مَا لَيْسَ بِخُبْزٍ، وَتَتْعَبُونَ لِغَيْرِ شَبَعٍ؟ أَحْسِنُوا الاسْتِمَاعَ إِلَيَّ، وَكُلُوا الشَّهِيَّ وَلْتَتَمَتَّعْ أَنْفُسُكُمْ بِالدَّسَمِ.

 3 أَرْهِفُوا السَّمْعَ وَتَعَالَوْا إِلَيَّ؛ أَصْغُوا فَتَحْيَا نُفُوسُكُمْ، وَأُعَاهِدَكُمْ عَهْداً أَبَدِيّاً، هِيَ مَرَاحِمُ دَاوُدَ الثَّابِتَةُ الأَمِينَةُ

 4 هَا أَنَا قَدْ جَعَلْتُهُ شَاهِداً لِلشُّعُوبِ زَعِيماً وَقَائِداً لِلأُمَمِ.

 5 انْظُرْ، إِنَّكَ تَدْعُو أُمَماً لاَ تَعْرِفُهَا، وَتَسْعَى إِلَيْكَ أُمَمٌ لَمْ تَعْرِفْكَ، بِفَضْلِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ، وَمِنْ أَجْلِ قُدُّوسِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، لأَنَّهُ قَدْ مَجَّدَكَ.

 6 اطْلُبُوا الرَّبَّ مَادَامَ مَوْجُوداً، ادْعُوهُ وَهُوَ قَرِيبٌ.

 7 لِيَتْرُكِ الشِّرِّيرُ طَرِيقَهُ وَالأَثِيمُ أَفْكَارَهُ، وَلْيَتُبْ إِلَى الرَّبِّ فَيَرْحَمَهُ، وَلْيَرْجِعْ إِلَى إِلَهِنَا لأَنَّهُ يُكْثِرُ الْغُفْرَانَ.

 8 لأَنَّ أَفْكَارِي لَيْسَتْ مُمَاثِلَةً لأَفْكَارِكُمْ، وَلاَ طُرُقَكُمْ مِثْلُ طُرُقِي، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ.

 9 فَكَمَا ارْتَفَعَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ عَنِ الأَرْضِ، كَذَلِكَ ارْتَفَعَتْ طُرُقِي عَنْ طُرُقِكُمْ، وَأَفْكَارِي عَنْ أَفْكَارِكُمْ.

 10 وَكَمَا تَهْطِلُ الأَمْطَارُ وَيَنْهَمِرُ الثَّلْجُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ، وَلاَ تَرْجِعُ إِلَى هُنَاكَ، بَلْ تُرْوِي الْحُقُولَ وَالأَشْجَارَ، وَتَجْعَلُ الْبُذُورَ تُنْبِتُ وَتَنْمُو وَتُثْمِرُ زَرْعاً لِلْفَلاَحِ وَخُبْزاً لِلْجِيَاعِ،

 11 هَكَذَا تَكُونُ كَلِمَتِي الَّتِي تَصْدُرُ عَنِّي مُثْمِرَةً دَائِماً، وَتُحَقِّقُ مَا أَرْغَبُ فِيهِ وَتُفْلِحُ بِمَا أَعْهَدُ بِهِ إِلَيْهَا.

 12 لأَنَّكُمْ سَتَتْرُكُونَ بَابِلَ بِفَرَحٍ وَسَلاَمٍ فَتَتَرَنَّمُ الْجِبَالُ وَالتِّلاَلُ أَمَامَكُمْ بَهْجَةً وَتُصَفِّقُ أَشْجَارُ الْحَقْلِ بِأَيْدِيهَا غِبْطَةً،

 13 وَحَيْثُ كَانَ الشَّوْكُ وَالْقُرَّاصُ، تَنْمُو أَشْجَارُ السَّرْوِ وَالآسِ: فَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ تَخْلِيداً لاسْمِ الرَّبِّ وَعَلاَمَةً أَبَدِيَّةً لاَ تُمْحَى.


What's **LOVE** got to do with it??

God loves Israel!!!!

God loves the nation chosen by Him and called Israel!!!

He separated them from all false religions/idols to SHOW to all nations that there is NO other god! There is NO god in Islam! Islamic god was created by the demons/jinn/the fallen angels.

God does not play in games.

He gives the HOLY LAND /The Kingdom of Heaven ONLY to THOSE who FOLLOW Him.

Those, who wanted to return to their slavery in Egypt, perished.

Those, who followed false gods, were killed.

It is the way of every one who sin against God.

Your idols, false gods, cults, worship of demons are abomination for God of Israel.

His WRATH devoured nations of Canaan and His WRATH is coming down to Muslim armies who will be gathered together against Israel again.

You ALL will se this Commander of God’s Army.

You all will bow down before Him because He is HOLY.

You will not be able to stand in His presence because your crimes/sins do not allow you to rise up. Those, who condemn the Judge/Commander will hold to account during the Judgment Day for your own sins. Those nations were already judged. Now it is YOUR turn.

If you will not abandon the false religion Islam, you will likewise perish.

Ephesians 3:15-19: "I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in **LOVE**, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the **LOVE** of Christ, and to know this **LOVE** that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God!!"
 
I want to say it so:

I pray that God would live in your hearts and bodies by His Spirit through FAITH in the Son of God. I pray that you would be established in LOVE to enemies and brothers. Then you will be able to enter the Kingdom of God He promised to give to the descendants of our father Ibrahim. It is high and deep LOVE of the Son of God saved you from God’s judgment against your sins. By God you live and by His love you are saved, by FAITH you walk and even if you do not see the Promised Land/the Kingdom of Heaven yet, you posses it because the Commander of God’s Army strengthens you and keeps you safe and saved! Amen.
